"Well that's good" This time he laughed normally. She was fun to be around, that was for sure. He started walking with her again. Looking ahead he realized it would only be few minutes before they were at Channing's front doors. He sighed internally. "I had fun tonight. I'm really glad you showed up."

Steffy looked ahead,knowing that she would see the familiar grand doors anytime. " I'm glad I showed up too " she thought for a while before getting the guts to say it, " Yeah me too, do you have like a girlfriend " she looked down, wondering if she had been to direct.

He smiled, happy that she enjoyed hanging out too. What he hadn't expected however was the question that shortly followed. He kept walking, but internally he froze a little. He regained himself quite quick however, which was strange to him. "Uh... no... Actually... I've never had a girlfriend." He was honest about it too. It never seemed strange to him before, but for some reason when he thought about it now, it did seem odd that all this time he really had been alone. He sort of felt as though he was a huge loser now. He was ready though, for anything bad to come his way.

Steffy smiled, strangely happy when she heard that. She bit her lip from saying anything stupid to embarass herself.
"Wow, can you keep a secret? " she asked stopping in her tracks.

He was relieved that she wasn't about to just laugh at him and point out how much of a loser he was now. He then nodded once slight nod and smiled, "Well of course. I don't know too many people to tell, and I wouldn't want to ruin my first friendship."

He smiled, "Well no... I don't think that's weird. Thinking about it now, I think it's weirder I've never even went on a date." He was relieved she was still being so cool and nice to him. He did wonder however if she may be hinting at something, but it was so hard for Darin to understand these situations. He was starting to think he wouldn't mind if she was. Strangely, he kind of liked the idea of it. She was a sweet girl after all.

He smiled kindly back at her. "I suppose so, but no one has come yet. It would be nice to have someone now that I really have it brought forward to think about." He then thought to himself. What if she was someone that could fill the spot? But did she think like that? Or was he just a friend for her to gossip and share secrets to? He wasn't sure, but he was going to try and see if she made any hints, and he just hoped he'd catch them.

Steffy thought for a while, " Anyway, I gotta go check on Noelle but if you wanna do this again sometime, IM me " she said, the word 'soon' was at the tip of her tongue but she didn't say it.

He looked at her for a moment with a light smile as they stood at the steps to Channing. He then looked away slightly and laughed a little. What was he thinking of doing? He was glad he caught himself. He looked at her again with a smile. "Of course. I'll be sure to IM yo then. Good night Steffy." He politely gave a slight bow to her.

Steffy hoped she read his expression right, "Night Darin" she said. Not wanting to say anything that would freak him out. She just stood on the steps, smiling at her own stupidity.

He started his walk down the steps. He knew she was still standing there because he hadn't heard the doors open yet. He then turned around with a smile slowly walking backwards. Blushing and smiling he said back to her, "I forgot to say how beautiful you look."

Steffy raised an eyebrow surprised that he had turned back. She smiled, "Thanks, you too " she cursed herself for saying that. Before saying, " I mean not beautiful but the opposite of beautiful " she flushed, shaking her head at her nervousness.

He stopped and cocked his head to the side a little bit. He was smiling big now, because he could tell how nervous she sounded. It was exactly what he would do. "I know what you mean." He was feeling a little braver now after that reaction, because at least it wasn't a bad one, or an awkward one. "Maybe I can take you out to dinner tomorrow?" He still had that big smile, and he didn't think it would go away no matter how much he'd appreciate it to.
