He smiled and let out another quiet laugh, "No, it's quite alright. I enjoy the random questions rather than being around someone with a temper." He could definitely get used to talking to her. He actually did enjoy being around her, and he felt great that he wasn't acting all nervous either.

He sighed looking down. With anyone else he wouldn't have wanted to talk about it, but with her for some reason he felt alright with doing so. He slightly looked back up at her. "Well that guy... Carter. I know he has his reasons and all, but he just makes me nervous. I wasn't trying to brag when I mentioned what I know about martial arts. I just thought we were having a friendly conversation about it. But I guess he just took it the wrong way. It's my fault really. I should have known not to talk about it." He looked back down and sighed again.

Steffy put a hand on his shoulder, "Don't go beating yourself up about it, like i said the people here are cool just have to get past that psychotic front. Carter's cool once you get to know him, he just..." she bit her lip, thinking how to describe him, "has issues" she said smiling at him.

He smiled lightly. "Well at least there are some people I don't have to worry about." He laughed very lightly. He barely knew this girl, and somehow she could make him feel better and more comfortable all over again.

Now he was sure of it. She was definitely someone he could talk to freely. "We should... uh... go do something sometime? If that's ok with you of course." He smiled a bit shyly and blushed now.

"It's getting pretty late, we should probably be going back to our dorms " she said with a genuine sad smile.

Darin smiled politely back. "You're right. May I walk you back?" When he really opened up and became comfortable, it really gave him a chance to show he was a gentleman. He had nothing but respect for all people, and sometimes it has been a bad thing, but he had never changed his ways. He would always be the nice guy.

Carter and Bradley strolled through the woods, stopping when they reached a clearing. "I saw Darin here earlier" Carter says, waiting for Darin to come back. "Well, then, we should just wait, maybe spar a little!" Bradley recommended, his eyes getting sharp and his back unslouching once again. "This will be fun" Carter said, and they both assumed their stances. They were a very even match

Steffy smile, normally she'd be wary when a guy said that but this time she wasn't. He seemed different, so she said " Sure, i'd love to " she laughed .

He smiled and got up hopping down from the rock. He then turned around and put out his hand to help her down. It wasn't that he didn't think she could get down on her own, he just thought it was the proper thing to do.

He smiled and started walking with her back towards the academy. He couldn't believe how well he did. Not only did he have a conversation with her, but he actually asked her to hang out with him another time. He actually got her permission to IM her. And to top it off, he was permitted to walk her back to the dorms. He just couldn't believe he was able to build up the courage to do such a thing. He felt extremely happy and proud of himself. He now had to make sure he followed up on his offer of hanging out with her. "So what did you think of this place, now that you got a chance to get a good look at it?" He smiled warmly at her.
