Steffy laughed, not sure why she did that maybe it was because of how comfortable she felt with him.
" It's so cool, I mean not too crazy about the bugs but the night sky, trees overhead, somewhat surreal almost magical " she said softly.

"Yeah, and it gives you the best opportunity to just take a deep breath and relax after all the stressful drama. When you take the time to look up at the sky, and you find yourself lost in the sea of stars, everything else that was bothering you a moment ago seems to just go away." He looked up slightly at the stars himself while walking with her. "I used to try and see them when I lived in Manhattan, but with all the city lights they outshine the stars sadly. So instead I used to sneak out of the house and travel on the ferry over to the Statue of Liberty. It wasn't very expensive. I'd get to the top and step outside and then look up at them over the Pacific Ocean. That's a sight to see. You can see the stars reflecting perfectly off of the ocean making you feel as though they were surrounding you." He smiled dreamily at the thought of it again.

The two stopped sparring as voices approached, they ran towards the voices. "Hello Darin" Carter said, stepping into view "This is my brother, Bradley, I assume you've met?" He said, and Bradley bowed, introducing himself to Steffy. "I am Bradley Hellfire, I assume you are the one who I was talking to over that Instant Message blast. Thank you many times over" He said, smiling. "Carter's better, but we need to get all his friends together for a little talk. He's schitzophrenic. He has three personalities" Bradley said, straightening up.

Steffy grinned, looking at him talk about it. He seemed so peaceful and comfortable. Steffy caught herself, what was she doing. She did not really even know much about him. Better leave things the way they were unless he felt the same way.
"Manhattan huh? I love it there, used to go there all the time... "
Steffy stopped mid-sentence. Looking at the guy who just spoke to them.
"Hey Carter, Bradley right? You're welcome. " Giving him a kind smile before she looked at Carter, giving him a look that said, you are in big trouble with Noe.

He looked at her with a bigger smile now. "You're incredible. I've never been so talkative to somebody like this." He couldn't get over the fact of how comfortable she made him feel. Of course he was nervous at first, but it was so odd to him how quickly he warmed up to her. Maybe it had to do with how similar they were. Maybe it was just how sweet of a girl she was. She wasn't too pushy and over the top, the kind that made him nervous. She seemed like a pleasant balance. He looked ahead smiling and just quietly laughed to himself.

Steffy grinned for the millionth time this night. " And i've never smiled so much before, so i guess we're both incredible " she added with a laugh.

Darin caught a glimpse of her grin this time. He then looked ahead of himself again. He wondered why she did it. It couldn't possibly mean what he thought, could it? No, it couldn't. He figured he'd just continue to along with how it was now. He didn't want to screw up what was happening already. He was quite happy with this anyways. But still, he was curious. He was also curious as to his own feelings now. He didn't really understand much up to this point. They passed the clearing of trees now and the academy was in view. He sighed. "It looks as though our walk is about to soon come to an end."

Carter caught the look and shot her a look of his own. "What for? It's my life?" He mumbled, shooting daggers at her. "Don't push me woman." he grumbled, slipping back into one of his other personalities. "Carter, calm down, It's ok, we're here for you" Bradley said, and Carter returned to normal.

It doesn't have to she thought before she scolded herself in her mind for going there and said
" We should totally do this again sometime, me randomly surprising you " she chuckled
Steffy looked at him wondering what he was thinking about.

"Darin, We are planning on sparring together later, want to join?" Bradley asked, quite simply
Carter stared off at the stars, and zoned out.

Steffy rolled her eyes but thankful that Bradley stopped him. She gave him a grateful look, before looking at Darin and Carter, remembering what Darin told her.

He stopped and stood there for a moment. He just stared into her eyes, a bit confused, but trying not to show. He then just smiled. What was he thinking? "Yeah, I would love that." He laughed a little. He then heard someone else close by talking to him. He turned to see two people. Carter, the one who made him nervous, and then someone else he didn't quite know yet. He was asking him to spar? He would like to, but he wasn't quite sure if it was a good idea or not with Carter. Nervously he replied, "Sure, later." He then started walking again with Steffy. What was it about this girl? What was she thinking he wondered. Did he actually like this girl?

Steffy looked at Darin " You remember when we talked about the rich guys doing martial arts, Carter trained under some guy, i don't know his name but he's really good, but i think you'll have no problem, " bumping him in the shoulders, "Champ" she added, smiling.

He smiled kindly at her. "I don't doubt his ability in the arts. One thing my sensei always taught me was to respect all the arts. No one is unbeatable. I may have won first in Nationals, but that was my fourth time competing in Nationals. Before that, the best I got was eleventh." He laughed softly. "So I don't dare put myself above him. I wouldn't even call myself his equal in the arts, until we have the chance to display our talents." Darin was always very respectful when it came to sparring. He truly followed the old ways of martial arts. To him it wasn't about who was better. Martial arts was so much more to him. It was a way of life, and it was something that could protect people. He then returned his focus back to Steffy.
"Sorry for rambling a little bit there." He looked off at the short distance they had to the dorms and sighed. Without looking back at her he gave a light smile. "It's funny, cause I actually don't want to go right now. But I'm more than happy to walk you back." He turned his head towards her again with the smile still there.
