Lily first just took up ballet to impress her mother and to make her happy, but she found out the more she danced the more she was inspired to draw and paint. So instead of just doing it to keep others happy she continued to keep it up and went into a higher level each six months and has been able to paint and draw most of her best works. What ever she felt when she saw others dance, or when she even danced herself, she would draw it out automatically or try her best to keep that emotion with her until she was able to paint/draw it out. It didn't take her much time to find the dance studio, even without the help of other students or even any of the teachers.
Once she finally reached the studio she grasped the handle slowly and walked in quietly to see if any other students had decided to dance today as well. No one was inside so lily decided to walk deeper into the room. Her brilliantly colored blue eyes flashed to the mirrors on the wall, watching her every movement as she made her way to the back of the room and placed her bag onto the single folding chair in the back right corner of the room. Taking her pointe shoes and a CD out from her bag she began to stretch and lace up her slippers as she sat down on the floor next to the chair. Lily was beginning to grow nervous in case someone would walk in on her dancing alone.
Once she was finally finished with that she made her way toward the front of the room and toward the CD placer on the floor next to the mirrors. Lily placed the CD into the player and turned to track 15, got into the starting position and waited for the music to begin. The song swan lake op. 20 by Tchaikovsky filled the room as Lily began to dance with as much grace as she possibly could. She was at the top of her ballet class back home in France and almost always received the main parts of each ballet she preformed in, so she knew every main ballet dance there was. Her heart began to race softly and her nervousness turned to complete excitement and bliss as she continued to dance to the beautiful music.

Darin happened to be walking around, with no direction in mind. He just aimlessly wandered to grounds and such in hopes of having a good night. He sighed softly while he walked. He wasn't sure whether his night went well so far or not. The drama he may have been witness to was a sign that it may not have been, but meeting people who actually seemed nice was a sign that it was. He really wasn't too sure what to think about it. Walking by some doors he heard some music softly playing. He didn't know the song, but he thought it was peaceful. He walked up to the doors and looked inside. He couldn't see anybody. All he could hear was the music.
He then thought critically on this. What if someone was inside and he just hadn't noticed them? What if they got angry at him for entering? What if... He sighed and tried to stop his self interrogation. He took another peek but still couldn't see anybody. Maybe someone had just left some music on. He figured they probably just forgot. His curiosity got the better of him as he slowly and quietly opened the door and slipped inside. He walked forward a bit down the very short entrance hall of what seemed to be a dance studio. He walked slowly and kept his eyes open for anything or anyone.
When he peeked around he saw a girl dancing ballet and he quickly threw himself up against the wall to hide from view. He hoped she hadn't noticed him. He felt his heart beat faster than ever now. He felt so stupid. He should have known better. He quietly whispered to himself, "Stupid stupid stupid..." He then cupped his mouth when he realized he was saying it out loud. Now if he could just get over it and not be frozen like he was, he could try and sneak back out, but it didn't look like luck was on his side.

Lily was beginning to get so into her dancing she almost tried to preform some of the pair parts. Giggling to herself she continued until the music began to slow to a stop and then changed into another song for the next scene. Walking up toward the CD played she pressed pause just as she heard someone whisper in the doorway, sounding like a male's voice. She froze in place for a few moments before she was able to sum up what little courage she had that second. Letting out a small sigh Lily began to loosen up slightly and made her way over toward the dance studio's entrance. There she saw a boy, a bit taller than her and unfamiliar looked as well.
He looked to be a little embarrassed and on edge for some reason, though she figured he hadn't realized she was in here. Lily wasn't even the slightly bit sure on what to say to him, since she had never been walked in on while dancing, especially not by a boy. Looking down at the floor she began to speak in a soft tone to him, "um...puis-je vous aider ?" She watched the boy for a moment before realizing she was speaking her native tong, french, rather than english. "Sorry, I meant...umm...can I help you?" Lily tried her best not to sound rude or anything, she didn't wish to offend the boy or anything of the sort.

When he heard the music stop he felt he was caught. Maybe if tried to make a run for it he could get out before she saw who he was. Too late. She rounded the corner and she had the chance to see his face. He had no idea what to do now. He took a deep breath and tried to calm himself down. When she started to speak in what he assumed was french, he was baffled. He had no fluency in any other languages besides English and Italian. When she started speaking in English however, he felt a bit relieved about that. He was still quite nervous though.
"Oh... uh... No, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to interrupt you. I just heard the music and couldn't see anyone in here. I'm really sorry." He felt bad for interrupting her while she had been dancing. He realized she must have really been into it. He knew what that felt like, for he sometimes got that way when training. He smiled lightly hoping she wasn't angered by his intrusion.

Oh, thought Lily as she pushed back a few strands of her red hair behind her ear. Her blue eyes scanned the boy for a moment before she began to speak once more. "It's fine really, I don't mind someone watching and you weren't interrupting, I was just finishing up the dance." Lily's French accent was thick when she spoke. "I'm really not sure if I'm allowed to even use this room at this time of day, but you're welcome to stay and watch if you'd like. I'd really prefer the company." She had no idea if the boy would be willing to take up her offer on staying, but she somewhat hoped he would, then at least she'd be dancing for someone instead of her own reflection.

Darin couldn't believe how nice she was being. Were there really that many nice people like him around? He really hoped so. He smiled a little more normal this time. "Yes, of course. I'd love to keep you company if you're offering." He could definitely go for that. Hanging around someone who was a peaceful minded person from what he could tell, and someone who had no intentions or signs becoming rude and angry. He was really quite relieved now, and wasn't regretting coming in here anymore. "That's really peaceful music by the way. I like it." He smiled again, a bit awkwardly this time.

"Wonderful," replied Lily as she smiled sweetly to him. She hadn't really met anyone here at the school, he was the first boy she'd actually talked to as well as the first person for that matter. She wanted to make a good impression, though she was beginning to become nervous. Lily walked back into the room and took her gym bag off the seat in the back. "Yes it's a song from the ballet Swan Lake. You can sit here if you'd like." Lily looked at the floor unsure of what else to say she turned toward the CD player at the front and changed the song to dance of the reed pipes on the CD. Getting into her starting position she awaited for the music to start up and began to dance as gracefully as she had before. Making sure she did every move as well as she possibly could and making each movement look naturally done and easy. The music for this dance was a bit more light and angelic sounding then that before.

He smiled and sat where she pointed out. He leaned back a bit against the wall and watched her. He first heard the music and loved it. It was so peaceful, it made him feel so much at ease. He then watched as she began to dance around. He couldn't believe gracefully and perfect she moved. In his eyes she was spectacular at what she did. He knew everyone had their talents and gifts, and he knew this was definitely one of hers. He kept a big smile on his face as he watched her every move. The music kept him feeling so relaxed, and watching her graceful moves made it even better. He was definitely glad now that he had come in this room and was caught. He sort of thought the whole bit before was a bit funny. He was nervous before for no reason at all from what he saw now.

Lily was trying her best to keep her expression the way it should be if she was actually dancing in the scene during one of the shows her ballet school would put on. But she couldn't help but at least smile with her eyes as she did so since being able to dance for someone was making her over joyed. Though as she continued to dance it reminded her so much of her home country and her parents back home. Finally the music began to wind down and finally came to a stop, leaving lily in the finishing post as it ended. She pressed pause on the CD played and sat down on the floor, scanning her reflection with her blue eyes.

Darin was so relaxed while he watched her dance. His smile stay light yet warm and welcoming as he watched. She had him a bit of trance with her graceful beautiful moves. He hadn't realized she was done until the music stopped. He sort of snapped out of the little trance and looked at her with a big smile. He started clapping some, "Wow, magnificent. Molto bene signorina." He couldn't help but smile after she finished. He stopped clapping now, but held his smile. "You're really talented. Oh... by the way, my name's Darin."

Lily heard the clapping coming from behind her as well as a bit of Italian coming from the boy as well. St stood up quickly and turned around the face the boy. His complements were beginning to make her blush, something she always did whenever she was complemented. "merci," replied Lily as she curtsied. "I'm really not that good though, I could be a lot better." She was used to being praised by her dancing, though she didn't at all feel as if she truly deserved hearing them. "I'm Lily," she replied, not really sure what to say after that, but continued to search for a topic in her mind to start at least some bit of conversation. "So how long have you been going to the academy?"

He smiled and quietly laughed, "Well I don't have much to compare you to honestly, but I truly believe you are talented." He decided to stand up now. He put his hands together open palmed and bowed the classic martial arts bow. "It's a pleasure to meet you Lily." She really was a nice girl, and it surprised him how many nice people he had found here. "Oh, this is my first year actually, so I really don't know anyone, at least not too many people." He lightly smiled. He wasn't sure if she was someone who had been here for awhile or not.

"Well thank you and it's a pleasure to meet you as well Darin." Darin seemed really nice and Lily hoped he'd be the first of the many friends she hoped to make here. "remerciez oh Dieu je ne suis pas le seul," said lily with a small laugh to follow. "It's my first year here as well, I just transferred here from Paris on a foreign exchange program...I go back during the summer and then once I graduate from here. She gave Darin a sweet smile before she continued, "So where are you from?" She was rather curious to find out where Darin had gone to and where he was from, though most of the students here were from rich families, Lily so far seemed to be the only exception as far as she was aware.

"Well it's nice to know I'm not the only new kid around here." He was relieved once again. He was happy to know he wasn't the only one who had to deal with being the awkward new kid. So naturally he was happy he ran into her, because in his opinion it would make it easier on the both of them since they were both new. "That's cool you're from Paris. I've been there once. It's a nice place. I'm actually from Manhattan, New York myself. I must admit I do miss it there." He smiled kindly at her. He felt he was finally making some good friends, something he had never had before. This most definitely had to be a great day for Darin.

"Yes I feel the same, I thought I was the only nouveau person here so far seeing as I'm sure most have been here since their 7th year in school or so." Lily was glad to find someone in the general same situation as her, at least she'd have someone to talk to here so far. As well as someone to get potentially lost with around the school. "Yes I miss my home as well. Though I have never been to New York, I hear it's très magnifique." Her twin sister, Ivy, had been there once before with their father to see a musical on Broadway. They told her it was beautiful, especially at night and it made her wish she could have went along with them. "So far how do you like the academy? I haven't been here for very long, only a few days and I haven't really had much experience with it and the students here."
