As Della retreated from Noelle's room, she rifled through the D&G bag that was looped over her arm, trying to find that darned cellphone that her mum had bought her last month to replace the one she had dropped off the balcony of their hotel accidentally. After a few minutes of rummaging through the bag, she finally grew frustrated and stomped to her room, throwing open the door and tossing her bag down on the vacant bed to search it more thoroughly. After finally finding it, she scrolled through her contacts to her mother's number, pressing the green call button and holding the phone to her ear delicately.
Four minutes later, she hung up the phone, kicking off her heels and leaning back on the headboard of the bed. The conversation with her mother had not gone well, starting with a rather unpleasant lecture on remembering to floss every night after brushing her teeth, and ending with a rather abrupt "oh, it's time for Jaclyn's gala, kiss kiss, pumpkin, bye now." from her darling mother. With a sigh, Della stared up at the ceiling, wishing her parents weren't so uninterested in her life. But it could have been worse, she could have had parents who inserted themselves into every aspect of her life. That would have been horrible!
Pulling out her i-pod, Della scrolled through the songs until she reached Owl City's new album, rifling through her bag again until she found her i-pod dock and then setting it all up and hitting play. Cave In began to play, and Della sang along softly, staring up at the ceiling from her perch on the bed as she worked out a bit of random choreography in her head.

Sébastien wanted to surprise Della so he had gotten a game of scrabble that he picked up in town earlier after they hung out. Before entering the building, he saw that Della's room light was open and he could hear the faint sound of Owl City coming from Della's room. Her favorite band. He smiled and looked at the tree that was situated in front of her window. A smug grin crept on his face as he got an idea forming in his head. He began climbing the tree. Holding onto the scrabble and trying not to fall was a difficult task, but he made it to Della's window. He lightly tapped three times and hid the game of scrabble behind his back.

As Della continued her daydream/rant/thinking, she heard a soft rapping on glass and raised an eyebrow, looking around the room to see where the noise had came from. As she looked towards the window, she saw Sébastien hanging off of the tree that was outside of her window, and she squeaked in surprise. It was unusual for someone to be standing outside of her window, especially when the window in her bedroom in Australia had been on the third floor. Shaking her head, she hopped up from her bed, trotting to the window and unlatching the lock. As she pulled the window open, Della noticed he seemed a bit wobbly and covered her mouth to stifle a giggle. "What are you doing?!" She asked quietly, no wanting to speak too loudly in case the dorm advisor heard her.

Sébastien grinned and took the board game of scrabble out from behind his back.
"Suprise!"
He said, in a shout whisper. A gust of wind blew and Sébastien held onto the side of the window. He laughed at how stupid his idea was and he smiled a pleased smile from the look of Della's face.

Della grinned as he presented the game of Scrabble from behind his back, laughing softly at his enthusiasm. "You're crazy!" She exclaimed, watching him try to balance as the wind picked up. "Get in here before someone sees, or you fall and break yourself." She took the board game from his hand and pulled him inside by the arm, a faint blush appearing on her face as she touched him. Stupid feelings, why did they have to resurface now? It wasn't fair. She had just been making fun of Noelle for liking her brother, and now she was being a hypocrite by becoming a giggling fangirl around Sébastien. Biting her lip, she regained her composure, the blush on her cheeks fading as quickly as it had appeared.

"Crazy? moi?"
He said grinning and then another gust of wind came through, almost causing him to fall. He laughed as he climbed inside.
"Maybe just a bit, But I wasn't going to let you think that you could beat me at Scrabble, Caine."
He said, his piercing blue eyes dancing with mischief as he called her by her last name.

"Yes, you!" Della replied, shaking her head as he nearly fell. "Get in here!" She ordered, pointing towards the floor and stomping on the ground like a child would. She raised an eyebrow at his words, a mischievous grin lighting up her face as he used her last name. "Well aren't you the rebel." She teased, shaking her head as she looked at him. "I'm not afraid of you, kiddo, my Scrabble skills are far superior." She said daintily, a giggle escaping her lips again as she hopped back up onto her bed and leaned over to turn down her music. "Bring. It. On."

Sébastien laughed, taking off his shoes as he sat down on her bed facing Della. He's been in Della's and all his other sister's friends rooms many times, but this felt a bit different. He couldn't help but smile at Della. He opened up the sealed game.
"oh, it's already been brought!"
He said in mock sarcasm, laughing at how stupid he must have sounded. He chuckled and opened up some of the pieces, glancing up at Della once in a while and smiling his trademark grin.

Della laughed at his attempt at a comeback, shaking her head. "You never were good at intimidating people." She stated, a smug grin on her face as he began to set up the game. "I'm going to obliterate you." She teased, setting up all of her letters on her letter stand thing and then looking up at him. As she saw him smile again, a rosy blush began to creep up onto Della's face again, and she glanced down in an attempt to make it stop.
Looking at her letters again, Della took five of them and placed them on the board to start the game. Q-U-A-I-L. "Quail, one of those bird things. Your turn." She said with a grin.

Sébastien laughed and set up his words on the stand.
"What are you talking about, Caine? I'm very intimidating."
He said, sticking out his tongue at her and laughing. He laughed when he saw what she put down and then took out 3 of his letters and stuck them to the end of her L. it spelled out L-O-V-E.
"How many points is that?"
He asked smiling, Sébastien never really got the points thing for the game, he just enjoyed making funny words with his friends.

"Oh yeah right, you're about as intimidating as... um.. something that isn't intimidating at all!" She replied, sticking her tongue out back at him and laughing softly. "That was a horrible comeback, I'm sorry." She said, laughing again.
"I think thats seven.." Della replied, tilting her head to the side as she tried to remember how many points each tile was worth. "Yeah.. seven.. I think.. maybe.." She raised an eyebrow skeptically. "I thought you were the Scrabble master. Why don't you know how many points it is?" She asked teasingly, grinning again.

Sébastien laughed at her comeback and shook his head. Della was just adorable. When she confronted him about being the scrabble master, Sébastien grinned sheepishly.
"About that..."
He laughed, looking at her.
"I kind of cheated in the 5th grade."
He said, smiling.

Della raised an eyebrow as he began to explain, a look of fake horror crossing her face as he admitted to cheating the last time they had played. "Well that explains it. I'm too good at this game to be beaten by the likes of you" She said teasingly, rolling her eyes as she looked back at him. "Still, that's not a very nice thing to do. I got excited when you challenged me to play Scrabble, thinking maybe you'd actually be hard to beat." She laughed softly, shaking her head. "Wanna do something else instead, so I don't humiliate you into the next millennium?"

"Your so thoughtful. About the, you know, not humiliating me part and all."
He said, rolling his eyes in a sarcastic tone. He laughed though, only joking.
"what do you want to do?"
He asked her, smiling. He didn't care what they were doing, he just wanted to be around Della.

Della giggled softly, shaking her head in response to his comment. "Well, thats who I am. I'm just a thoughtful human being." She replied teasingly, brushing a few stray strands of blonde hair out of her eyes as she attempted to think of something else they could do.
"Hmm.." She mumbled, looking around the room. "To be honest, I don't know what else there is to do in here without things becoming awkward." Della said, intending for it to be a joke. A faint blush covered her cheeks as she realized the other meanings her words could have had. "That was a joke.." She clarified, giggling nervously again.
