As Della continued dancing with the other girls, she saw Noelle signaling for Cayden to join them, a sly grin on her face as she saw the two of them beginning to dance. The grin disappeared quickly as Sebastien made his way over and began to dance with Allegra. A pang of jealousy shot through Della, and she bit her lip, turning away from them and trying to find someone else worthy of dancing with. This was a party, and not one of the pity variety, meaning she would just have to get over the Sebastien thing and move on. Yes, she would move on. And while doing that, she planned to make him as jealous as was physically possible.
Before she could do that though, she would need to have a bit more to drink. Yes, that was a good idea, no, a GREAT idea. She would drink and party and dance with boys and not give a damn if she ever saw him again. "Stupid boys." Della mumbled under her breath, trotting away from the group and passing a group of girls from the lower dorm. Snatching the drink out of one of their hands, she waved them away, taking a long drink from the glass and grinning. Phase one of her plan was now underway. Hopefully she didn't end up regretting it.

Allegra frowned at him. "Hey! Give that back!" She held her hand out for it. "I'm fine, Sebs, really. Besides, it's a party- drinking is just part of the fun!" She smiled at him. "Besides, don't look so confused. You know as well as I do that your affections have been focused on other people this year." She really didn't want any problems with Della- she was one of Allegra's closest friends. But, in her defense, Sebastien had come up to talk to her! She couldn't be held responsible for his actions.

Carter and Malfunto walked in the door, laughing wildly. "NOW the party can start" Malfunto said, quite gayly. "I want to party it up tonight!" he said, laughing, and walking over to Noelle. "Hey GIRLFRIEND!" He yelled, while Carter went and sat at the bar, ordering a shirley temple.

The song had finally ended, switching to a slow song. She tried to stay sober, but the effect of alcohol worked it’s magic. The guy she was dancing with was speaking to her, she shook her head
“ I’m sorry what? “ she asked
He had asked her outside, she thought for a while trying to make sense before giving in. She followed the guy outside, pushing past people. He looked as equally drunk as her maybe even more. He brought her to the back of the barn, passing by a guy who looked oddly familiar.

Darin continued to sit where he was outside in sort of a blank state. "I blew it..." He said weakly to himself. He heard footsteps coming outside and his eyes slightly looked up, and he regretted doing so. Who he saw just so happened to be Steffy, taking off somewhere with that one guy. His eyes didn't stay on her long as they quickly went back to the ground, the entire time his head never moved.
He felt his heart sink and didn't know what to do. Should he just leave? No, he couldn't. Even if he wanted to. He didn't really feel he had the strength to get himself to his feet. He had loved the feeling of having someone like him, but he didn't like the feeling when things went South. It was at this point he wished he had just stayed that kid that nobody talked to. At least then he wouldn't feel this way, instead he would feel as he normally did. Something he could handle. This was tearing him up inside though.

‘Maybe just a friend’ she thought, she couldn’t see quite clearly. The guy leaned towards her, taking off his shirt, she stumbled backwards onto the floor. She tried moving backwards, hitting the barn wall. She decided to yell, it was kinda pointless as the music was blaring so loudly. "Where was a boy when you really need them" she thought...

Darin was so out of it that the music from the barn was sort of droning out and become less apparent to his ears. He hung his head low, disappointed in himself now. Then his head jerked up. Even zoned out he could still hear someone scream. The music was loud to him once again now that he returned to the real world. He looked around to see where it was coming from but didn't see anything. His heart was racing, but something made him stand. He had a gut feeling about this.
One thing popped up in his head. He didn't know if he was right, but there was always the chance that he was. If he was right, how could he forgive himself if he didn't try something when he had this gut feeling? He couldn't get all timid now. He took a deep breath and started to think. He saw which way she went, and he tried to remember where the scream came from. The second part wasn't helpful to him. He then decided to think logically. Behind the barn. Away from watchful eyes. It was worth a try.
He started to run now, turning the first corner running along the side of the barn. He ran as fast as his feet would carry him, and that was quite fast for him. He then rounded the second corner putting him behind the barn. There wasn't much light, but he could see to faint figures. One standing over another on the ground. It was now or never. With a running start he took off towards the two. He then skidded to a stop right at them, and quicker than most would be able to see he thrusted two fingers into the side of guy standing there. Quickly he made a smiliar strike in a different location. He then did a spin, finishing with an open palm strike to knock the guy backwards to the ground at a good distance.
Darin knew the guy would not be getting up from the two first attacks he used. He didn't use those often, but when he did they served very useful. It was a technique for striking pressure points and rendering a person temporarily paralyzed, if done right. He then turned around and kneeled down to the girl he couldn't see before. He was right. It was Steffy.

She screamed when someone came flying out of nowhere. The first person she thought off was jesse. " Jess? " she whimpered, feeling so vulnerable. Seeing that person fight her attacker off so skillfully, there was only two people that good, Carter and ...Darin. Knowing that Carter was inside, it had to be him. She swallowed with fear,as she tried to stand up. She feel back down shaking, feeling like the dumbest ass in the world. She finally got the courage to look up, seeing the guy lie there, paralysed. It was over, she looked up at Darin, "Thanks" she muttered, knowing that he saw everything. He probably was pissed at her he would just walk away.

He lightly placed his hand on her shoulder, "Don't worry about thanking me. Are you alright? Did he hurt you?" It was quite apparent that he still cared for Steffy very much. His mind was no longer thinking about the fact she was dancing with some other guy and then taking off with him. The only thing on his mind now was her safety. "Do you need me to get anyone, or do you need me to take back to your room? Anything at all?"

She shook her head, feeling very sober now. She looked at him curiously, his reaction was way unexpected. She looked up at him and sighed "No i'm fine" she said softly.
She looked at him, " Can i ask you something, are you mad at me"

He smiled lightly at her now. "Well I actually thought you were mad at me. And if I must say, even though we've still barely met, I find it hard to get mad at you." He then grabbed her shirt and handed it to her. "I'm sure you'll be needing this." He just warmly smiled at her.

She laughed, feeling much better.
" Really? Honestly i thought you stood me up, but i see you were just late. Looking good though " she said.

"Yeah... I'm sorry about running late like that. I had really thought I blew it between us when I did show up." He just lightly smiled at her comment. He sort of blushed as well. "Thanks... and you Steffy, are quite beautiful. Even after the mess you've just gone through. Must come natural to you."

She let out a soft laugh, " Thanks, but there was a time when i wore braces and had frizzy hair" she said, laughing at that memory.

He smiled softly at her, "Well I think sometimes a person just has to look past things like that to see who a person truly is. If I had known you back then I would have still talked to you. And if this still happened, then look who I had the pleasure to be with. The most beautiful girl in the school." He was actually quite shocked he was saying all of this. Even though he was a shy kid, he actually knew a bit about love. He had just never experienced it. But the words he spoke seemed to be natural to him, and with her making him feel so comfortable, he wasn't having a hard time saying them to her.
