'This game is over' he thought as he staggered away. He went back into the bar and ordered a cup of warm water. After drinking it he felt much better. He thought about what he had just done. Putting his hands in his pocket, he decided not to bother explaining things, knowing it would just get him slapped across the face. He looked around for Derrick, not seeing him anywhere, he took a walk into the woods, to calm himself down.

She opened her eyes and blinked after he was done with that. She looked at him, smiling. She opened her mouth to say something but was interrupted
"Steff!" Jesse yelled seeing Darin kiss her, he pulled her away, ignoring her protest. He glared at Darin before pulling her back to the dorms.
She tried to break free off his pull but he was too strong. She mouthed to Darin "Help?"

He was in a little bit of a shock now. That he hadn't expected to happen. Was he watching them? He then saw her mouth 'help' to him. What was he supposed to do? He tried to think fast. He then just had to do something, no matter what. He then ran and got in front of them. He had to be brave now, for Steffy. "Wait a second. What's the problem? I didn't do anything wrong, and neither did she." He was determined to at least try, and deep down he almost wished that he hit him, because at least that way he could strike back in defense. He really did not want to throw a first hit, that wasn't him.

Jesse raised an eyebrow when Darin actually stood up to him. Not one of the clowns she ever dated dared to do that. Maybe he was wrong about this guy. He gave a tired sigh, "Look Darin, this was a rough night I need to talk to my sister alone". He really needed to get things straight did he really like Noelle or was it just the alcohol talking. He didn't care for Darin's respond and started pulling her again.
Steffy looked at her brother worried wondering what the hell did he screw up now. "Sorry see ya in class tomorrow" she said softly, wishing she could stay with Darin but her brother needed her.

He just sighed softly as he realized that the situation was a bit different. "Good night Steffy." He stepped aside and watched them leave. He leaned up against a tree as they disappeared from view and he just slid down until he was sitting. He didn't care much for how the night ended, but he did like what happened just before it ended. He was a bit confused. He wasn't sure whether to be happy for the moment or not. Who was he kidding though, he was definitely happy, but already he kind of missed her. After all, it was an abrupt ending. He just gazed up at the stars, letting some time slip by.
