With a smug grin on his charismatic face, Cayden had signed off of his computer and changed into a pair of jeans and a green sweater, strolling quickly out of his room and outside. Once he reached the Bean Cafe, he walked inside, ordering a white hot chocolate at the counter and then taking it to sit in one of the booths by the windows. Checking the silver watch that adorned his hand, he saw that it was nearly time for Noelle to be here, and he began tapping his fingers on the table as he waited. Cayden was never one for waiting, he always seemed to get impatience too quickly. Taking a sip from his drink, he stared out the window, admiring the view.

The bells on the door of the Bean Cafe jingled as Noelle stepped in and the warm hair hit her rosed cheeks. She saw Cayden's familiar dark head and smiled, unravelling her pashmina scarf and unbuttoning her burberry pea coat. She ran her fingers through her dark, silky hair self cautiously before sitting down in the booth in front of Cayden.
"Hey Caydsies, miss me?"
She said with a smile, putting down her things on the seat next to her.

Bradley looked up from his white chocolate mocha, and saw a rather unique looking at a silver watch. It had nothing on his gold plated titanium watch, but it was nice, it was classic. He pulled out his phone, and texted his long lost brother, who appeared to be at this school under his old family's money. He was here for one reason, and one alone. He was good at martial arts. He logged into his computer to check the standings here. It looked like Carter had topped the list, well, not for long. He didn't know who his brother was, but this Carter kid was going down. He checked the full names and found that Carter's last name was Bradworth, his old family. "Damn!" He exclaimed, and knew he would have to talk to the kid one way or another. He couldn't stand the sight of it, so he logged off, finished his drink and walked out, heading to some party that was on signs everywhere.

A small grin crossed Cayden's face as he spied Noelle walking in, and he waved cheerily to her. "Of course I missed you, what kind of question is that?" He responded teasingly, letting out a soft chuckle. "So whats up? You seemed to have something on your mind earlier, or maybe I'm imagining things." He said, taking another sip of his white hot chocolate and then leaning back in the booth. Lacing his fingers together, he looked at Noelle, waiting for some sort of answer.

Noelle laughed and looked at Cayden, his wavy, dark hair was falling a bit over his deep green eyes and she felt the butterflies erupt in her stomach. She leaned back in her chair, relaxing, taking in the scent of coffee and chocolate. When he asked about what was going on earlier, she bit her bottom lip. She decided not to tell Cayden, even though she told him everything- well except for the fact that she has loved him since the 3rd grade. That she could never tell him. And she couldn't tell him about what happened with Carter. She sighed and looked at him.
"Nothing, just some drama, but it's no big."
She assured him.

"What did Della do this time?" Cayden asked in response, raising an eyebrow. He usually assumed it was Della who caused the drama in the group, what with her inability to shut her mouth from time to time. "Did she at least fix it?" He asked, shaking his head before taking another sip from his drink. He ran his fingers through his thick hair and shook his head so that it didn't look wonky.

Noelle laughed.
"No, Della didn't do anything. It's nothing."
She said, smiling. She was trying to convince herself more than she was trying to convince Cayden.
"Anyways, we need to catch up. I haven't seen you for a whole 2 months!"
She said, smiling.
"I think thats the longest we've ever been separated."
Noelle grinned as she scooped some whipped cream from his hot chocolate on her finger and stuck it in her mouth, letting the creamy-ness melt on her tongue. She smiled contently, feeling that she could be herself around Cayden.
"So tell me, any flings in Australia?"
She asked with her eyebrow raised, grinning. Whenever she talked about other girls to Cayden, deep inside it broke her heart. But as a best friend, she had to put up with it. And Noelle was really good at masking her feelings.

"I know, it's been so long! It was weird not having you around in Australia!" Cayden replied, leaning forward again and swatting Noelle's hand playfully as she stole his whipped cream. "This is why I didn't miss you though." He teased, shaking his head.
As she asked about any flings, Cayden could feel the heat rising to his face. He hadn't even told Della about the girl there, or any of the silly happenings that had transpired between them. "Uhh.. no." He replied, lying through his teeth. "Okay, maybe, but you have to swear not to tell Del about it. She'd kill me if she knew I had kept it from her." He admitted, running a hand through his hair again self-consciously and then chuckling. It was weird to be telling Noelle something he hadn't even told his sister, but she was his best friend, and she deserved to know.

Noelle laughed as he swatted her hand away. When she heard him say he did have a fling, she felt really dissapointed, but she hid that with a smile.
"Cayden, I've been your best friend since we were, what? Zygotes? Don't worry, I wont."
She said with a grin. Even though she didn't want to hear about Cayden with a girl, a side of her was itching to know.
"So? whats her name?"
She said, smiling lightly.

"Her name was Emily. I met her the day we got there, and then didn't see her for like a week. But then she came back from wherever she had disappeared to and we hung out a lot. Nothing actually happened though, aside from the usual flirting and random stuff.. She left a week before we did, but she lives in Northern Canada so I don't think I'll be seeing her again. But thats okay, it's better to cut ties once summer's over, too much baggage isn't good for the soul." Cayden explained, shrugging it off.
"She kinda reminded me of you though, with the way you dress and everything. But you're prettier." He stated, taking another sip of his drink and then flashing her his lopsided smile. "What about yourself, mademoiselle? How's the love life since jerkface?"

'Too much baggage is bad for the soul' Those words rung through her head. She smiled at Cayden and listened to him intently. She felt a bit relieved that it was only a fling for Cayden. When he told her she was prettier, Noelle grinned.
"You're such a sweet talker."
She teased, taking some more of his whipped cream.
"But so true.."
She said with her finger in her mouth and laughed, only joking around. When he mentioned her ex-boyfriend she didn't feel the pang of hurt she usually felt. She was over him, in fact, she had been for a long time. She just wasn't over the fact that one of her best friends betrayed her.
"I swore of boys for a while this summer."
She said, leaning back in her chair.
"No flings or anything, just me... and the hot pool boys."
She added, her prefectly arched brow raised and a twinkle in her turquoise eyes. She smiled at Cayden, contently.

Cayden laughed, swatting her hand again as she stole more whipped cream. "Get your own, child!" He exclaimed softly, laughing and tossing a five dollar bill towards her so she could go buy one. "Stop thieving from my drink."
Raising an eyebrow, Cayden listened to her reply, laughing as she mentioned the hot pool boys. "Have you told Del about those? I'm sure she'd appreciate something to distract her from the fact that her lover boy is all the way in Aussieland while she's here. She was not happy about leaving, believe me. But now that she's here, she seems to be back to normal. Maybe we'll find her a boytoy here, that would be helpful in keeping her out of my personal life." He joked, laughing again softly and leaning back in his chair. "But anyways, tell me about your trip. If you swore off boys, what did you do the whole time?" He asked curiously, a grin on his face again.

Noelle laughed and took some more, sticking her tongue out at him, just to bother him. She laughed.
"Dylan? right? She said it wasn't anything big. Besides, she already has a boy toy."
Noelle said, cryptically. She wasn't sure Della would want Cayden to know about Sébastien so she figured Della would tell him when she wanted to.
"Well, theres more to life than just boys. For instance: Shopping."
Noelle said, grinning teasingly.
"what else?"
She said in a mock pensive tone.
"uhmmmm. Partying, and more shopping. tanning, and oh, did I mention shopping?"
She said, laughing.

"She told you it wasn't anything big?" Cayden responded quizzically, with a soft laugh. "Wow, she sure got over him fast. They were joined at the hip the entire time. Or rather, joined at the mouth if you know what I mean." He trailed off as Noelle mentioned that she had a boy toy already. "What? Who? Why didn't she tell me?" He asked, his mouth open a bit in surprise.
After regaining his composure, Cayden listening to her reply, laughing quietly and shaking his head. "Shopping? Is that all you girls do?" He asked, shaking his head. "I don't understand the allure of going and spending tons of money on things you don't need. How does that make you happy?" He asked, tilting his head to the side in confusion. "Girls are weird." He stated, laughing again and then taking a sip of his drink.

"Shopping is vital to our health!"
Noelle countered, laughing.
"No, I didn't spend my whole summer at the Mall. Although, It would be nice."
She grinned.
"I was also painting the whole time. You should see them...If you want to.."
She said, smiling a bit shyly. When it came to her art, Noelle was very shy (which was a rare occasion for Noelle, being one of the most confident people in her group) But she always showed her friends. Except for the wierd abstract ones she had that suspiciously resembled Cayden. Those she kept tucked away behind her large closet.
