Having had some knowledge in Aikido when he saw the switch from the sweep to the knee coming at him he used his arms to cross his chest for the block and then swiftly bring an around behind Carter's knee and twisting in a manner that would cause him to be flipped to his back. After the toss Darin quickly hopped a step back up in case of a ground attack.

Carter rolled backwards as he fell. "Not bad kid, now let's get started" He laughed, assuming a stance, one arm to either side, forming an N one up, one down. He waited, watching for the moment, then kicked, swinging a fist in from the other side at the same time, and pulling back the kick at the last second, swinging in with the other leg.

Instinctively he went to work blocking and looking for his opening. With his left hand he maneuvered it around Carter's arm and pushed it to the side. The first kick he saw the hesitation in it so he didn't bother, but when he saw come back in he had to think fast. He quickly stepped forward putting himself between Carter's block punch and the kick. He then used his shoulder to knock him back just to give him the opening. He then twisted to left a bit on his left foot and kicked out for Carter's chest with his right foot.

Carter rolled sideways, and landed rather harshly. "well done my friend" he said, resuming his stance. "your choice, you, or I initiate?" He asked, standing with his right foot back yet again.

"Before we begin, I want to just make sure this a friendly match to test our skills. No hard feelings of the outcome." He smiled politely. He had thought about showing his unique variation, but wasn't sure yet. It wouldn't be really painful, but if the contact was made just right, then Carter would be down. That's the part where Darin didn't know if he should use it or not.

"Yes, no problem at all. Now then, I believe that we should see both sides, so Bradley, would you like to swap in? I would like to show our friend how we fight, as he has not seen our fights, but we haven't seen his." Carter said, smiling.

Darin waited to see what they were up to. He wasn't sure whether this guy Bradley was swapping with Carter, or with him. He was a little lost, so he waited to see.

"Most certainly my Brother" Bradley said, stepping onto the mat, and tapping Darin on the shoulder. "You can sit down now, we want to show you our styles, as we have both seen yours. I wouldn't find it fair to fight an opponent I know more about than he does about me" Bradley said, and assumed his stance, readying himself for a very interesting combination of Muy Thai and Capoeira. This would be fun.

Seeing Darren safely away from the mat, Bradley flipped onto his hands, spinning like a top, then sprung forward, his hands flying behind him, one leg landing on Carter's shoulder, crushing down. Carter fell, grabbing the leg, flipping him over his shoulder, his hand at Bradley's throat, like a knifeblade. "Nice try, but high kicks are quite easy to stop" Carter said. "Now, let's try something else. They sparred, Bradley flowing seamlessly from Aikido to Capoeira to McMap to Shotokan to Wing Chun to Dim Mak, and then back again. Carter seemed to stay within his comfort zone of Krav Maga, Ju Jitsu, and Aikido. They landed next to each other, panting by the end of 15 minutes.

Laughing, the brothers stood, and Carter said. "Darren, your choice, who do you want to fight?"

"Honestly it doesn't matter to me." Darin had no idea what Bradley was all about, but he was sure he'd find out soon enough. So far he hadn't felt that he had been having too much trouble with Carter.

"Well then, rock paper scizzors time. One, Two, Three Rock!" Yelled Carter, as Bradley yelled paper. "Looks like I'm your opponent" He smirked. "Let's see what you got. If I'm beating you too bad, just tell me. I'm just joking, I know you're in the top five at the school from the rankings. I just don't know where." He smirked, his dark pumpkin eyes growing ever sharper as he adopted that same stance.

Darin raised an eyebrow, "Really? I didn't know I was even in the school rankings yet. This is my first spar here." He actually sort of wanted to brag just a bit about Nationals, but he refrained. He knew that would be dumb to start with. He took his stance and waited for Bradley to prepare. "Your move."

"I also know you were at nationals" Bradley said, placing his palms together, then swinging them apart at the thumbs. He faked a handspring, handstanding, but instead simply walked on his hands over to Darin, stood back up, smiled, and kicked at Darin's legs.

He smiled and saw the kick, and quickly used his foot to push the leg back with enough force to stop the blow. He then ducked low and brought his fist out and up to Bradley's right chest. For Darin, he was warming up. He didn't like to just go all out in the first few moves.
