Darin had decided to take a walk for lunch and enjoy the nice weather outside. He started walking through the woods, just loving every bit of scenery in it. He walked without direction, but stopped and tilted his head when he saw something. It was the rock. It was the same rock where he first actually talked to Steffy. That made him smile thinking of her. He climbed up on it and sat down. He then looked over to his side and remembered that she had been sitting right there with him. He couldn't stop smiling, but it was a gentle warm smile, nothing too outrageous. He then pulled his cell phone out and texted her. [Hey Steffy. If you're not busy, I was wondering if you wanted to hang out for a bit before lunch is over. If you do, you can find me at the rock  ] He hoped she'd know what he meant, but he figured she most likely would. He just leaned back a bit and propped himself up with his arms. |

Steffy took out her compact and fiddled with her hair. She thought about her conversation with Allie this morning and decided not to do anything to her face. She felt so nervous when she entered the woods. She walked into the familiar scenes of the woods. Somehow that feeling dissapeared when she saw himsitting on the rock peacefully. She stood behind him, like yesterday and texted him.

Darin felt his phone vibrate and he picked it up and slid it open. He smiled and quickly turned around. "Hey. Glad you came. I was just out walking and thought about the other night when I saw this rock again." He smiled warmly. He was a bit surprised, but at the same time he wasn't. He couldn't be happier however. He didn't know how he had gotten so lucky to have met this girl, but he didn't regret a thing. He was loving how things were playing out so far.

Steffy gave him a warm smile before sitting down next to him.
" Hey! " she said, smiling a genuine smile for the first time today. She was a little tired from all the drama just now but she felt so energized once she came in.
"So how did you like science class" she asked

He gave kind of an awkward smile. "Science? To be honest it's my worst subject. I prefer English. But I have to admit it was nice to see that I'd be sharing the class with you." He just smiled kindly at her.

He smiled bigger now, "Yeah I do. I have it as my last class of the day actually." Darin was definitely not a dumb kid. He may have been shy, but he had always been really smart. No one knew only because no one talked to him. If they had however, they would have known he was intelligent. Being humble as he was though, he wasn't one to brag about it.

Steffy looked at him, " Wow, what are you not good at " she said giving him a cheeky grin. She looked up, realising a disturbing thought, "Waait, you have all AP classes?" she asked him frowning.

He looked kind of confused when she frowned asking if he had all AP classes. "No, not all AP. I have regular math, well trig actually. Why the sad face?"

Steffy shook her head, " Good... well sort of good. it's nothing " she said, giving him a reassuring smile. She didn't want to scare him or anything, maybe J hasn't caught wind of this yet.

He awkwardly smiled now, not sure what the sad face was for. "Alright then." He nervously laughed. He wasn't too sure what to do at the moment. This was the first time he'd actually been with a girl in a situation where they were possibly about to start a relationship beyond that of friends.

Steffy looked at him and sighed softly. She didn't like lying to people that had nothing to do with education especially him.
" Alright, I can't lie to you" adding a smile "Just watch out for my brother" she said shaking her head.

He gave a curious look and quietly said to himself. "Oh boy..." He then looked at her and smiled. "Well if there is something between us... I don't think I'll be chased away too easily." He gave her a comforting smile.

He looked for a moment to think and then quickly looked at her with a smile. "Well for someone who makes me smile so much, it would be hard to say there wasn't something. At least on my end." He was curious what she would say to that. He knew what he hoped she'd say, but he'd wait and see.
